Getting career-ready

Work Integrated Learning

What this means

At Curtin University, we value authentic learning and are committed to helping you develop industry-ready skills and enhance your employability through embedding work-integrated learning (WIL) in all courses.

WIL is structured and purposefully designed learning experiences that blend theoretical concepts with practice-based learning. It involves engagement with workplace and community settings where you interact and network with industry/community partners.

Types of WIL

Industry visits and fieldwork

Industry based projects

Guest lectures and the Speaker Series

Through our innovative partnerships with industry, community and government, our students can provide a valuable contribution to workplaces while also strengthening their skills, expanding their industry knowledge and increasing their employability.
