Keerthana Dana Sekaran | Student Spotlight

The SP Wahi Scholarship for Excellence for Undergraduate Applicants is given to one student by the Founder, in honour of the great leader, Col. SP Wahi, and is granted based on a variety of measures, including academic merit, service to community/industry, and leadership. Keerthana is in her second year of the Mechanical Engineering program at Curtin University and has received the award for her outstanding grades, contribution to student and industry activities, and commitment to supporting underprivileged communities. She will be receiving 100% funding for one year of studies at the Curtin Dubai campus.

Let’s hear from Keerthana herself, “Firstly, I would like to thank TAG for this benevolent funding opportunity. I’m glad and motivated to take responsibility for educating one deserving student with a scholarship through the TAG board in the near future, as soon as I accomplish my dreams of becoming an aerospace engineer at NASA. This is definitely an inspiration for me to dream big and it instilled a sense of confidence in myself. The Engineering Faculty of Curtin Dubai facilitated a lot of industry visits, knowledge sharing sessions and many career development programmes which have been very informative.  A huge thanks to the Curtin Dubai community, each of them have been an integral part of shaping who I am today.”

Scholarships, and financial aid bursaries are part of Curtin’s commitment to rewarding academic excellence, supporting research and enabling students from all backgrounds to realise their potential.

These opportunities are available for both commencing and current Curtin Dubai undergraduate and postgraduate students. Scholarships are more than just financial support, they can enhance your portfolio of achievements.
