Omar Rizwan | Student Spotlight

The Pro Vice-Chancellor’s scholarship award is given to one eligible student by the Pro-Vice Chancellor based on a range of criteria and is open to both domestic and international students. Omar, a third year Mechanical Engineering student, was at the top of his class for 4 terms in a row, is the President of Curtin Dubai’s ASHRAE student branch and is Secretary of the ASQ student branch.

Here is what he said after winning the award, “I sincerely thank our Pro Vice Chancellor and my University for this award. I have worked very hard for the past two years to maintain my grades with all the extracurricular activities I have been taking part in. My friends, family and my Professor, Dr. Pon Selvan helped me a lot throughout my journey and they never let me lose hope.”
